Essence was born after my daughter, Nicole, was married to Lee Fletcher in 2004. As a graphic design and art teacher, I knew the type of book I wanted to create for her to commemorate her wedding day. So I enlisted the help of a former student, Jeffrey Hunter, who took incredible photos. When others saw the book I designed, they started asking if we would do the photography at their weddings because they wanted a book like hers. Thus Essence Design and Photography was born.
